DIA China Annual Meeting 2024 was successfully held from May 17-19, 2024 in Suzhou. The meeting brought together 6000+ drug development professionals and over 490+ exhibitors from global and local pharmaceutical companies, clinical study sites and clinical research organizations (CRO). HKU-CTC exhibited at the meeting where ClinCluster (科聯醫達) and eSMO+ (科聯醫港) have been officially launched. ClinCluster is an International Clinical Trial Institutions Management Network, integrating institutions in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) through harmonized standards, workflows, SOPs, training, contracts and budgets management, powered by the proprietary Digital Cloud Platform for Clinical Trials Institution Management – eSMO+. The 4 founding network members, including HKU-CTC and Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong CTC (GHK-CTC) from Hong Kong, Macau University of Science & Technology CTC (MUST-CTC) from Macau, and HKU Shenzhen Hospital CTC (HKU-SZH-CTC) from Shenzhen, are joining forces to build a thriving clinical trial ecosystem in GBA covering a population of over 80 million people.
Our booth also welcomed distinguished guests including Mr. Marwan Fathallah, the President and CEO of DIA Global, and Mr. Bi Jing-quan, Chairman of the China Centre for International Economic Exchanges. It was our honor to have them recognising our contribution dedicated to the clinical research development, especially across the Greater Bay Area.
Innovation was further sparked through the lectures hosted by Mr. Henry Yau, our Managing Director, and Dr. Creany Wong, our Deputy Managing Director, relating to topics on quality management and digital innovation in clinical trials, and introduction of clinical trial industry in Hong Kong, facilitating idea exchange and highlighted the leading role of HKU-CTC.
